OPEN DAYS

Open days are organised by the club, in conjunction with the Angling Trust. These days are aimed at youngsters and their families to try out fishing and to people interested in joining the club. It gives people a couple of hours to experience the great fishing we have on offer for free. Club members and the Angling Trust are on hand to help and make sure that people can catch as much as possible on the day. It also gives people a chance to see what lovely, private venues the club has.

Understandably, Covid has affected these over the last couple of years but the club fully intends to restart this as soon as practicable.

These days are advertised locally, on the site and on social media. Keep an eye out for them. Alternatively, if you've fished as a guest or already know what great fishing the club has to offer then just visit our MEMBERSHIP page to join.

THESE ARE SOME PREVIOUS OPEN DAYS ORGANISED WITH THE AT.

FAMILY FISHING DAY 2nd JULY 2016

Family Fishing Day organised in conjunction with the Angling Trust.
Free sessions for kids and families to try out the great fishing on offer at the club lake. With help from club members and James Lewis from the Angling Trust, the kids caught lots of cracking fish in lovely surroundings. All these fish were caught on maggots in just two hours. Have a look at the pictures in our photos section by clicking on Gallery
Keep an eye out for the next open day in August 2016. Details will be on here as soon as it's confirmed.

LET'S GO FAMILY FISHING DAY 27th AUGUST 2016

Our second Family Fishing open day organised in conjunction with the Angling Trust and a massive success!!

Around 30 people attended this day, most of whom had no experience of fishing. Mums, Dads and, most importantly, children had a fantastic time discovering the joys of fishing and got a taste of just how good the fishing is at our Mores Lane lake. People who had never wet a line before put loads of fish in their nets in under two hours.

Obviously impressed by the sport on offer and the lovely surroundings, families either joined up on the day or took forms to join up when they got home.

A particular and special thanks must go to James Lewis, the regional officer for the Angling Trust, who advertised the day in all the right places and helped all the families who attended have a great day out.
