The Elm Park Hornchurch & District Angling Society was established in 1936 and from small beginnings has flourished into a very active medium sized club.

We currently have four fisheries that we actually own or rent, consisting of two stretches of river and two stillwater fisheries containing a total of three lakes. We pride ourselves on supplying our members with very good all-round coarse fishing in quiet well maintained fisheries.

The Society particularly welcomes new members who will, when possible, participate in club activities. These include Monthly Club Outings, social functions, General Meetings and voluntary fisheries Working Parties. Members are naturally not expected to attend all our activities, but we like to see them at our General Meetings, which for many are social events. This is after all an active fishing club and not, like some others, just an association of anglers.

We welcome new members into our friendly Society whether experienced anglers or not. Most members are "pleasure" anglers, but we have a wide range of interests ranging from carp enthusiasts to those more match orientated.

The society also holds open days and family fishing days in conjunction with the Angling Trust

The Society's headquarters is located at The Royal United Services and Social Club, 28 Mawney Road, Romford, RM7 7HB, where we hold a Members’ General Meeting on the 2nd Monday of each month, plus one meeting of the Executive Committee on each 4th Monday, with an AGM in April.
